Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the DanceLoop platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, district, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Description of Service

DanceLoop provides a communication and engagement platform designed for K-12 education. The Service enables teachers to share classroom updates, photos, and stories with parents and guardians, facilitates direct messaging, manages classroom points and achievements, and supports volunteer coordination and supply wishlists.

User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Teacher and administrator accounts are created or approved by authorized school personnel.
• Parent accounts require association with a verified student and teacher approval.
• You may not share your account or credentials with others.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, education-related purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Post content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Share content that violates the privacy rights of students or other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
• Use the Service for commercial advertising or solicitation unrelated to education.
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service through automated means without authorization.

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you post on the Service (photos, messages, stories, etc.). By posting content, you grant DanceLoop a limited license to store, display, and distribute that content solely within the platform to the intended recipients.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of DanceLoop and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use that feedback without obligation to you.

Student Data and Privacy

We take the privacy and protection of student data seriously. Our handling of student data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which includes our commitments to FERPA and COPPA compliance. Schools and districts may require a separate Data Processing Agreement, which we are happy to provide upon request.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Schools and districts may request export of their data prior to termination.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. DANCELOOP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DANCELOOP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DanceLoop, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which DanceLoop is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
